Ok We heard about the Palms results - can anyone give some infor about the Venetian Results? Number of people there Final Table Any interesting hands?
About 200 I will try to get you an exact number but the number that was being thrown around was 192 players.The Final table will not be determined until Sunday Nov 26th when 3rd round and then 1/4 Finals and Semi Finals are played. The Final will be filmed for TV in the CBS studios in January 2007. There is also a scheduled Venetian Tour stop in 2007 that will be open to all. The exact date has not been set, but it will be sometime during the WSOP Event that is hosted by Harrahs. Joep
Venetian Results 192 Players Final 6: Miami John Cernuto Cosimo Tripodi Huan Quan Mai Marie Hua James Nguyen Gleb Bourianoff Blair Rodman was eliminated on hand 16 of the semifinals in a win-lose hand. Blair stood on 17, his opponent (who did not make the finals) hit two cards to make 20 and the dealer turned over 18. Blair was trying to make consecutive final tables. Erin Ness of Maxim magazine was the last player eliminated in the semifinals. She chose to take a low on the table rather than take a high and a low on two players and the dealer busted. There was plenty of bad play, especially in the early rounds. Players continue to not use their secret bets on the final hand for some reason. It was a very well run tournament with few mistakes and lots of excitement. Chris Compton
