Over the pass few weeks I have had some VERY nice casinos contact me about hosting some of the monthly "Tournament Blackjack Tour" events I have been working on. The only problem is I will have to make a few modification to my oringal plan of hosting all the events on the weekends. These casino don't need or want these tournaments on the weekend, but feel they could be a good draw for them in the early part of the week. So far I have had every casino I talked to (that is interested in hosting one of the monthly events) agree to the TBJPA national rules and better than that they have agreed to let "ALL" the players play in the tournaments. Now I had to promised them that any players that are asked "NOT" to play the regular tables or for that matter even be around the regular tables during the tournaments will be asked to leave. Now if you really want to play it is a very simple rule "Just do what they ask"! Once I get this Tour up and running we will be able to have players from all over that haven't gotten to play tournaments against one another in years. One other issue came up, hotel cost! I have been trying to keep the cost down to around $59.00 per night or less fo rmost properties, however if I do land this one property we will be looking at a $90.00 per night cost (but I promise it is a VERY nice casino/hotel). I am trying to host an equal amount of monthly tournaments in each area as I can so that the players ratings will be fair and so that everybody has an equal chance at makeing as many monthly events as possible. After taking with S. Yama, (his idea) I will also work on hosting the Tour with other casino BJ tournaments during the same time span so the players can enjoy multiple tournament action from different casinos and when possible even our events during the daytime with either WSOB or UBT qualifiers of an evening time at certain casinos. Once I get all the casinos signed up I we post the Tour schedule here and I am hoping to have the TBJPA web site up and fully running by the end of the month and I will post a schedule there as well. I am hoping that AC will add us to his new "All in" magazine as well. Once I have the TBJPA site up you will be able to checkout the new and improved "National" blackjack rules and point ranking system I along with several others have been working on. Like I said up above keep your fingers crossed that I get everybody all signed up!
Big Announcement TX, Great News! Everyone has been so immersed in UBT that we've, ok I, had forgotten about your tour. I for one will look forward to more outlets and more chances to meet fellow BJ players in person. Can you contact a hotel in Paris so I'll have en excuse to fly ove the pond and meet Reachy? But seriously when the final ink is dried and all the i's dotted and t's crossed why not make the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT on a radio show that's dedicated to BJ playing? Hmmmm I wonder if we could make THAT happen?
