    TBJPA / TBT events payouts schedule
    (Less funds taken out for the Championship event)
    Below is the payouts for either 12 or 18 semifinalist.

    1st to 12th.........................................1st to 18th
    Finalist......................................Finalist

    1st = 35.5%.............................1st = 35.0%
    2nd = 20.5%...........................2nd = 20.0%
    3rd = 15.5%............................3rd = 15.0%
    4th = 10.5%.............................4th = 10.0%
    5th = 5.5%................................5th = 5.0%
    6th = 3.5%................................6th = 3.0%

    Semifinalist.............................Semifinalist
    7th – 12th.................................7th – 18th
    1.5% each = 9.0%...................1.0% each = 12.0%
    *******************************************************************************************
    Example: if we have 18 semifinalist and a total of $50,000 prize pool the payouts would be as follows:

    1st = $17,500.00
    2nd = $10,000.00
    3rd = $ 7,500.00
    4th = $ 5,000.00
    5th = $ 2,500.00
    6th = $ 1,500.00

    7th - 18th = $500.00 each

    Chopping the pot will be allowed if all agree. For above a 6 way chop would be $7,333.33 for each of the finalist. However we will still play out for the points.

    The TBJPA want to offer deeper payouts and less TOP HEAVY events. I think it is better for more players to win, then one player winning BIG!

    With the TBJPA and TBT events, I am betting most of you feel the same way.

    Do you know ?

    Rick with a $300 entry how many players would you need to have a 50,000 prize pool.Seems to me that over 166 players are needed without re-buys.Are you expecting 166 players to attend your event ? If you do that would be great. Good luck with your tournament.

    Just an example...

    Thanks for the well wishes Joep, I hope to see you there.

    When I used $50,000 as the prize pool, it was just an example, (as I noted).

    But at 130 players X $250 = $32,500, which will advance 44 players to round #2.

    Now we would have 86 players left that may re-buy at $125 X 86 = $10,750, which will advance about 28 more players to round #2.

    Now we have 58 players left that may re-buy at $125 X 58 = $7,250, which will advance about 18 more players to round #2.

    That would come to $50,500 prize pool if every one re-buys back in twice and some may even be able to re-buy back a 3rd of 4th time if needed and space is availble.

    How many players will we have in Laughlin? No one knows for sure, I guess we will see in May. Seeing that these are "OPEN" events and priced affordable, I am hoping for at least 125 players. So far feed back has been good.

    One thing I am doing for the first TBJPA/TBT events is trying to knock each tournament out in one day each. I am doing this to try and give the players three events in as few of days as possible and avoid days of of work and away from home and family. Let me know if you like the one day events or if you would rather split the main event into two days?

    Hope to see most of you at the River Palms this May.
