Below is the different satellite tournaments the TBJPA will be offering at the River Palms casino on Thursday, May 10th from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Friday May 11th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. *Note: These tournaments are for TBJPA members only and a $40 TBJPA membership fee will be charged before playing in any of these events, but by being a TBJPA member you get the $20 per night room rate (over a $120 savings for the four nights). There will not be scheduled events, we will play whichever satellites the players sign-up for first. Rick this seems a little confusing to me.Do you have to pay $40 membership fee to play in these satellites in addition to a fee for the scheduled tournaments also? Joep
TBJPA membership Yes, Joep. The TBJPA $40 fee is only paid once that week and allows members to enter in all the satellite events and the three main tournaments. The TBJPA membership also gives players discounts for different items such as the $20 per night room rate at the River Palms, 5% American Airlines discount, up to 25% off Avis rental cars, misc. give-a-ways during the tournaments, and specials bonuses while playing on the regular tables. The casino fees of 10% are to cover the casinos expences for the main tournaments. The $10 fee, per table for the satellite events is like a rental price for each table used for the table, dealer, and all the supplies.
