It's time for another Global Player multi-player blackjack tournament... $3,000 Christmas Blackjack Tournament On December 19th, Global-Player Casino will present another Blackjack Tournament, where they will award $3,000 in cash and another $480 in regular bonus! Plus, some additional bonus money.
Where will the players sign in for the actual Tourney? RE: Global's Dec. 19 tournament I went to the Cashier and Registered. It shows that I have $1000 in chips. How do I sign in for the tourney??? I didn't see where it's marked. I didn't get a password or anything else????? Also, FYI- at 12/17/04 there were still 18 slots available for the tourney. Oppie
If you use the Global Player link in Ken's post above, when that page opens, click on "Christmas Blackjack Tournament" just below the GP logo. It will take you to the tournament page. Go down to the last sentence on that page and click on "exact rules." It tells you everything you need to know. You don't need any password other than your log-in password, the software will recognize you as registered for the tourney when you sign in to play that day. And *definitely* follow the suggestion at the bottom of the page and sign on to chat, and keep it open during your tournament. If there are problems or additional information that will be useful to you, it will be there. Good luck (unless you are at my table, then..... ) CJ
Reply part 2 Just after I hit send, I remembered two things that aren't explained in the GP information but that you need to know: 1) Betting: Once your betting box begins flashing, indicating that it is your turn to bet, you click on the denomination of the chip that you want to bet, then click in your betting box to place that chip to bet. You can do this repeatedly with same or different chips. When you have placed your entire bet, then click on the "Deal" button. Your bet is now placed. If you change your mind before clicking the "Deal" button, you can right-click on your bet pile of chips to remove a chip. If you just want to repeat your bet from the previous hand, click on "Last bet" before "Deal." Remember that you only have 20 seconds, marked by the timer at the top of the window. 2) Next hand: Once the hand has been completed, you need to click on the "New Game" button (or is it "Next Hand" ? - you'll recognize it when you see it lit up when each hand is complete) so that your cards will be cleared away and you can be dealt your next hand. I know this is obvious, but (again) I'd highly recommend anyone to do some practice play in order to get used to the program, if you have not used it before. Log in to "Guest Games" instead of "Member Login" and you can practice for free. CJ
Another GP tourney, another bust I think that Global Player has it in for me... In the BJT.com sponsored freeroll tourney, I advanced in the first round, but the results were negated due to technical problems with some tables. I didn't advance in the replay. Last week I played in the LVA freeroll, but didn't advance from the first round (yes, I lost, fair and square). Today, I tried to play in the Christmas Blackjack Tournament (not a freeroll). Once I tried to download the latest version as told to in an email, my computer repeatedly crashed and I probably only got to play 6 or 7 hands between crashes. I couldn't even stay connected to GP long enough to get any help via chat. Did anyone else have any problems, or am I the only one? CJ
problems at GPC tournaments Hi BlackHawk, A played in the same tournaments. In Ken's tournament I was the clear winner at my table in the first round, but had it thrown out. Luckily I came in second and advanced to the semi. And ended up winning the tournament, but I still know how you feel. I had no problems in the LVA or todays except for bad cards. Today I only won one hand in the first ten. Send an e-mail to GPC support. They are usually quite helpful when you let them know how you feel. Better luck in the future. tgun
Are you able to log in to GP now without crashing, or is the problem still there? Also, are there error messages associated with this, or does the entire system lock, or just the casino software? Sounds pretty frustrating. I hope we can get it resolved.
The problem is still there. All I have to do is double-click on the GP shortcut to open the program, and my computer crashes and reboots. Everything else seems to be working fine. I'm in email contact with a GP techie who is trying to help me figure it all out. I'll let you know if we find anything out that others should know about the software. CJ
