Quechan Resort evidently had some success with their January tournament, as they are running another in February, this one for $10,000 with a $40 buy-in. Probably the same rules as always. Tournament is on Wednesday, 24 February, starts at 6:00 PM Arizona time (MST), which is 5:00 Pm California time (PST). Registration starts the previous Monday.
Nice turnout The Yuma tournament had a nice turnout. Filled up more then three rounds with entries, 36 persons per round, so more than 108 people there. Most players could get in only one rebuy, a few got in two. Format was single advance from a table of 6 players, both qualifying round and semi-final. Seven players at final table. One wildcard to the final table. $10,000 prize pool was guaranteed, sp tournament had positive equity, and had a very flat payoff. First paid $2,400, I think second was $2,100. Seventh paid $550. Unlike the tournaments this trible put on at Paradise Casinos in the past, they enforced a betting order. Unfortunately, they did not use a button, betting and play always started from 1st base. Seating position was by random draw.
