Global-Player is going to hold the first (of I hope many) satellite tournaments to win passage on the Blackjack Cruise in October.

The tournament will be held on Wed. Feb. 2nd, at 8:00 PM est.

First 60 players at $100 entry, this tournament will also offer the first re-buy round at $50 (only to any player not advancing from round one).

All prizes will be based on the number of entries and reentries as always.

Final Prizes (based on $6,000 in pool):

1st......Passage for two on BJ Cruise October 31st, 2005

2nd......Passage for two on BJ Cruise October 31st, 2005

3rd......Passage for two on BJ Cruise October 31st, 2005

4th......$612 (60% of cash left over after trips)

5th.......$408.00 (40% of cash left over after trips)

Note: other changes for the satellite tournaments.

    1. Starting bankroll $500
    2. Minimum bet $10, Maximum bet $200.
    3. Working on getting SURRENDER to flash when the player does it, (not
    after the hand)
    4. Working on offering splits a thrid time and DD's after splits.

    Surrenders already fixed

You can already see when a player surrenders immediately. At Global Player, go to Player Info, Options, Blackjack.
Make sure the 'Card value on all hands' box is checked. That is necessary for surrenders to be immediately visible.

Cruise tournament now online at GP

I noticed the cruise tournament was listed on GP as one of the options when I selected to play BJ in multiplayer mode. I went ahead and registered, but right now it only showed four entries. Do we still plan to pay tomorrow if we don't get at least 20 players?

Less then $2,000 in the prize pool and they will just go with cash prizes only (Normal payouts).

That sounds fair enough, just hope we get a flurry of signups so we can at least be playing for a shot at the cruise.

Well it looks like we are almost up to one table. I found a link to show how many people are registered. Go to leaderboard under each tournament and it will show you the payouts and how many have registered. We are still sitting at only five on this one as of a few minutes ago.

We had 15 for the tournament, so it went two rounds, first round with five tables, three at a table, final with five winners, one from each first round table. It was a lot of fun, although it was tough being the only guy at the final table with all the women. Next time guys you have to do better! We can't let the women dominate so much. :D

    I get it now

Ohhh. ptaylorcpa, I didn't catch on that it was you who was the only male at the final table, until now. I tell ya, those ladies are tough!

Yeah, I don't think it is fair when they said they were all naked right before we started play. Did you see my computer freeze up around hand 8 after I pushed out a $125 bet? I think they caused it. :D

When my computer came back on after an error message, it looked like I missed a hand or two, but whatever happened, I was still there with everyone else as far as bankrolls, so just shrugged it off.

I can share your pain Ken, losing my bet on hand 14 which put me out of contention on the final hand....

Maybe next time we need to ask all the women to be on the same table in the prelims so they can eliminate each other before the final table.

    :)

    Naked women on the internet!

Yea, that wasn't right telling you they were playing naked in the finals...LOL
Congrat's on the finals anyway, the semifinal table you had was a nightmare. That was the hottest I had ever seen a dealer, online or land based casino.

Hope to see you there next week.

I agree Rick, I was lucky to be going low all the way and just letting Joep and the other player take the busts when the dealer would draw to 21. I think that happened a couple of times on the final table too, would have 20 just to have the dealer hit 21.

    :(

When is the next round, is it going to be this weekend or next Wednesday? Was anything ever decided?
