    $25,000 BLACKJACK TOURNAMENT
    July 2013

    Blackjack Satellites
    Mondays in July | July 1, July 8, July 15 and July 22
    Fee: $30 | Starting Chip count $2,000

    EARLY CHECK-IN BONUS
    Check in and pay by 6pm and receive an additional $500 in tournament chips

    DEALER ADD-ON
    $5 before tournament starts for an additional $500 in chips

    As many seats as possible will be given away for the
    $25,000 guaranteed Blackjack tournament.

    "MAIN EVENT"
    Saturday July 27, 2013.
    Fee: $150 (Includes $25 chip and $5 Meal Coupon)
    Registration begins at 9am | Play starts at Noon

    Dealer Add-on
    • Cost for Dealer add-on is $5.
    • Participant will receive an additional $500 in tournament chips.
    • Must be purchased before Preliminary play begins.
    • 100% goes to the Dealers.

    Re-Buys
    • Cost for a re-buy is $75.
    • The participant must have less than the required minimum.
    • The participant will receive $1000 in tournament chips.
    • Participants may re-buy until the 1st hand of the 3rd round of the Preliminaries is dealt.


    "Wild Card"
    • Cost for Wild Card is $75.
    • Participants will receive $1,000 in tournament chips.
    • Top 18 after round 1 will advance to round 2.
    • Top 7 after round 2 will advance to round 3.
    • Top 1 after round 3 will advance to Final Table.
    • Only Semi-finalists who did not make the Final Table are eligible.

    Can you elaborate on this (both here and in the calendar posting)? What is the format of the satellites and what is the criteria for being awarded a seat in the main event? It might be worth posting the satellites on the calendar separately from the main event, if the details are sufficiently different.

    Yes, very true. It's wonderful to see a southern Michigan casino try an attractive BJT but, as learned the hard way by Meskwaki not so long ago, you cannot butt heads with the Kewadins if you wish to bring in the real BJT junkies. Also, you might reconsider the accumulation format and change it to table elimination. Many of us in the upper Midwest totally despise accumulation tournaments.
