  2. Thanks for the heads up Jim. The 18th is the first day of our spring break so that works out great if I can slip away from school a few hours early. :)

    Who is playing?

Is anyone from the Nashville, TN area playing this tourney? And would you be interested in driving down together? Spaces are available for first round play on Friday at 3 & 4 p.m.

Does anyone know the format and rules of this tournament? I'm signed up for the 3pm round on Friday and will be driving in from Baton Rouge on Thursday.

  5. Just a second to that motion for a little information from anyone who played this tournament last year. I don't play until 6 but it is always better to have more time to digest the rules than less.

    Thanks for your help.

I decided to not play this one since I could not find anyone interested in making the 500 mile drive with me. And since rain is forecast for the entire distance on Thursday, it did not look like a lot of fun to me. Good luck to those playing. Most of the tournaments in Biloxi are elimination with 2 usually advancing from the first round, but I do not know for sure. Six decks, standard tournament rules.

I like to set up Casino Verite tournament mode with the rules of the tournament I'm planning to play. With the speed settings on max you can complete a 21 hand round in just a few minutes. Play a few hundred rounds in the afternoon and decisions in the actual tournament will be automatic.

Unfortunately the opposition players in the tournament mode do not reflect the actual competition in the tourneys. I wish it could be more realistic but i am sure the programing of such would be really difficult. There are so many decisions that tourney players that are different from basic strategy, and the bet sizing is so different. But I think it is the best on the market. I have been using it since it first came out on a floppy.

    Springbac,

    Talk about timing being everything.

The Author (Norm Wattenberger) of CVBJ is looking for suggestions ("wishlist") for his program. Looks like this would be right up your alley as a long time user.

    Blackjack Squardron

Does the Blackjack Squardron name come from the WWII 341st FS in Port Moresby?
