Discuss the 50,000 Blackjack Tournament September 2024 event at Fort Sill Apache Casino in Lawton, OK.

 

Does anyone know if this tournament Round 1 can be played either on Thursday Sept 19 OR Friday Sept 20? Asking to see if those flying in could still arrive Friday and play Round 1 then?

That’s really impossible to say for sure. But, that’s what I did in 2022 when we went over. I played my first rounds on the second night of the tournament. It’s all a matter of how many people turn out for this thing. I can’t see it being full at 168 max. When I bought in 2022 I was able to get one buy in and one re-buy.. I’d considered doing that again this time, and I may yet.

We do have to call and make a reservation between September 1 and September 16. Which I will do. There is a phone number in that set of rules that I sent over the other day. We do not have to pay at the time we make the reservation. DaLawna told me that if we don’t show up on Thursday night that we will just be moved into the standby part. And we will still only have to pay when we show up on Friday night. That is, IF there are seats available.

Again, my gut says there will be slots for 1 round and probably a re-buy. But kinda iffy for paying for flights.

UPDATE…….Here is a clarification on Thursday /Friday play at Apache Casino $50,000 blackjack tournament in September:

I received a call from the Table Games Manager at Apache Casino this weekend. This was to clarify the above:

Anyone who wants to play a first round of this multiple day tournament ONLY on Friday can call in between September 1 and September 16 and will then be told what time slots are open for Friday evening play. If there is a slot open the caller can reserve that time.This means that you will have at least one round of play and possibly a chance to rebuy if necessary. The rebuy will be subject to availability, but I think it probably will be available.
