What's the policy towards members posting referral links (in one-off messages and/or in their sig)? I can currently think of one casino-related site of which I am a member that I might consider publicising here, both because it could prove useful to people and of course because it might earn me some pocket money. I quite understand if this sort of thing is banned, being the potential thin end of a fat wedge of spam. So I thought I'd better ask before risking the wrath of Ken. ( Wasn't that a Star Trek movie? )
Colin, It really comes down to the reason you would publish the web site address. Is it a site that our members would gain knowledge by visiting? If you have doubts about it, send Ken a private message, and he will tell you. It was a good idea to ask in the first place.
I police these situations on a case-by-case basis. If you're a brand-new account here, and post merely as a pretense for dropping a referral link, your post will be blasted. On the other hand, if you're a real contributor to the discussions here (as you are London Colin), feel free to add a link to your signature, and if you think a site has legitimate value, you can post a message about it as well.
