    Threads, or Sub-Forums?

I'm not sure whether this forum is best organized as one big forum with multiple threads, or as one forum with multiple sub-forums underneath. For the moment we'll try it as threads. If it gets unwieldy, I'll move the posts around and restructure it.

Cruise info for experience and first time cruisers

My wife an I are experienced cruisers and have used in the past the message board on the premier cruise site - cruisecritic.com to both meet folks and share a wealth of information. My wife Joyce, who is not a tourney player is one however who thoroughly enjoys cruises - has already started a thread specific to this cruise. The link is:

You will find it is the same format as this site. To post, you have to do a similar non-invasive registration to this site. Please feel free to ask any questions that come to mind. Please feel free to ask any questions publicly or privately. Looking forward to the cruise and further exchange with you all.

    Not in the casino

The tournaments will not be held in the ships casino, so if you bring children along they will be permited to watch (if quite). Sorry, but any talking or horse play and they will be ask to leave. Please understand it is nothing personal.

These tournaments were designed so that the entire family can enjoy them as well as the tournament players. However they are tournaments for big money and consideration for the other players has to be observed.

Unlike the casino top heavy prize structure, these will tournaments will payout nice prizes from 1st - 6th in the finals and 7th - 18th in the semifinals.

Note: the semifinals will WIN money not just get their entry fee back!
Plus I have bonus payouts planed throught out the tournaments.

I hope we have lots of players and winners. Looking forward to see all of you there.

    Not to metion

Ship to shore charges for internet services can be rather expensive if you are relying on the ship to provide internet service. Anyway, it is a vacation for everybody involved. Have faith that the news will get out.

    We're having a GREAT time!

Yes Springbac won the 1st tournament and this years Million dollar winner Sam Vaughan won the 2nd.

The remaining two tournaments will be held this Sunday and Monday on the return sea days.

We have had a number of sit & go events as well from $20 to $100 person.

So far everyone seems to like the format. 2 advancing from every round and all the semifinalist are getting money back.

The 2nd tournament the finalist did a partical chop of the pot. The tournaments are not top heavy and everyone that makes the finals can make a little money. If the casinos would learn to do this they would get a lot more players for their tournaments.

I have lots of pictures and final five hands that Ken said he would post next week.

It looks like I will host another cruise next year, but maybe only 5 days and with only two tournaments.
