With slot parlors closing in around them from PA and NY the Atlantic City casinos have been hosting more and more table tournaments. Many blackjack tournaments are being run around town now. Here is a brief summary.

Showboat is hosting a $100,000 guaranteed tournament on April 25th and 26th. $500+$20 entry fee. For every person above 200 entries the prize pool rises by $500. Harrahs ran a similar tournment event in Jan and had about 280 people for a prize pool of $140,000. 1st round is accumulation format. You have 2 shots at this. Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Top 49 reach the 2nd round of 7 tables of 7. Winner of each table advances to final table.

The AC Hilton and Resorts are hosting a $200,000 blackjack tounament on March 29th. This is mostly an invitation event but you can win your way into it. On certain nights they have a table open and the person with the highest accumulation after 10 hands that night qualifies.

Ceasars $300,000 invitation event was already mentioned in a thread.

Every Thursday night, Tropicana hosts a $5000 blackjack tournament. No entry fee but you must play one half hour on a $25 table in order to enter the tournament. They get around 100 people each week. 1st round is accumulation format. Top 49 reach the 2nd round of 7 tables of 7. Winner of each table advances to final table. 1st - 2.5k, 2nd - 1k, 3rd through 7th - $300.

Every Wednesday night, Trump Plaza hosts a $1000 blackjack Tournament. No entry fee but you must play one half hour on a $25 table in order to enter the tournament.

There have also been a few other invite events recently at Ballys AC and other locations.

Tournament BJ has reached the east coast. FINALLY!!!
