I have had several players ask about the 300 plus players that the Dan at the River Palms mentioned a while back about inviting to the August 16th - 19th TBJPA/TBT events.

A few of the players thought that their invited VIP's would just get comped into the events without the prize money being added in.

    WRONG!!!!

Any and all comped players will have their entry fees paid by the casino, so there will be entry fees in for all the players in the tournaments.

Same with any and all re-buys, should the casino comp them, they will cover that expense.

The 300 or so players invited were just mail outs to that many players, I don't want anyone thinking that we're going to have 300 players for the events.

I'll try and get a good guess-a-mit later in the week to how many players we will have.

    300 Players is a plus

300 players would be great but you may have to rent a house boat to add enough tables. 300 players X $300 entry = $100,000 plus prize fund each with 70 re-buys for 2 tournaments and $50,000 plus for the other. Bring em on!!

really confused. so, the house sent out 300 invites, (this has meant in the past tourneys that i have attended, comped entry to the tourney). realistically, if even half of the invites show, and are comped, with the house adding the monies to the pot, the one 300 buy in tourney, will mean the house will add 45,000 k to that tourney, and let their invites play for free. wow, i guess i should have moved to laughlin, instead of seattle.

how many invites have accepted this offer? i guess that might clear my confusion. if what it looks like, then laughlin, or bust !!!!!!!

    In the July

mailer I was offered an entry to a slot tourney worth something like 20 bucks. I would guess any coupons like this would be arriving at players boxes soon for August.

BTW, Pechanga's recent huge BJT was offered to anyone with a level of play that qualified. Slot players, poker players, table gamers.....
