    Hi guys,

As tahoewolf observed in another thread, it's been pretty quiet here for a few days as several of our regular contributors are busy competing at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. GSN's $500,000 World Series of Blackjack is in full swing.

As of Friday night, all the preliminary rounds and wild-card rounds are complete, and the semifinalists have been determined. Tomorrow, the final three shows will tape, those being two semifinal tables and one final table.

While I can't reveal who has advanced and who has not, I can assure you that you'll be seeing some fantastic blackjack tournament action on TV in January. It'll make last year pale in comparison.

The air dates have been moved to the week of Jan 17th or so, and they're still uncertain about the exact schedule.

Thanks GSN for a great event! You're sure building a strong following here at BJT.

    Wow!!!

    Hello All!

This past week at the WSOB II has been an incredible week of play, partying, and gambling. As far as the tournament, all I can say is...I can't say a thing.:D Correction...I want to say how wonderfully nice and organized GSN was in filming WSOB II. Ok, that is all I can say.

I do want to thank Kenny E. for a GREAT cocktail party. It was a pleasure to meet many people and become reacquainted with others.

Dinner at the Fitz was enjoyable as well. Thank you Ken Smith for putting it together.

This past week has made my husband and I become more addicted to tournaments...OH DARN!!!! Starting to plan the next one already!

As far as gambling, I broke even at the regular tables and even got brave enough to play $25 a hand on a streak! LOL, to some of you that is small potatoes, but I am moving my way up from $10 a hand.

I can tell I am getting old. After several days in Vegas, I am wiped out! Lack of sleep may have something to do with it, but who sleeps in Vegas anyways?

I want to thank all of you who met my girls and were kind to them. They think you are all "very neat" people. I know Vegas is no longer a place for kids and will be a very long time before we bring them back unless my parents are there again. Hollywood, thanks for the autographs.

I have pictures; however, I will not post pictures of individuals unless you send me a private message stating it is ok that your picture is posted. There are some people who may not frequent our site and not give me permission to post. Just don't want to upset anyone.

During this past week, I had many firsts: first time in a suite of any kind in Vegas, first time stepping foot in a high rollers area (even though I didn't play, just watched), first time having a room credit LOL. Many more, just can't think at the moment due to lack of sleep.

I look forward to the next time when we all can get together and hopefully more of our BJT members will be able to attend. This group keeps getting better everytime we meet.
