    Hello fellow players,

I've been inactive from playing casino blackjack and in tournaments for about a few months now because of money and the few locations around where I am. I was just curious if any members are from Fl. I live in the Tampa Bay area and I've seen that there is a Sun Cruz tourney starting April 1st in Hollywood every Friday on the evening cruise that is a $50 entry and $2000 prize pool. Does anyone know if this type of tourney is winner take all and if this is the first of these tourneys played on the Sun Cruz. I would like to participate in a few for practice for larger one's and also improved odds of winning as it looks like it would probably have minimum of 14 players probably going as high as 40 or so. If anyone has played in these cruise ship cruises or small tourneys like this let me know. I have only played in the larger tourneys up in Tunica at the Grand and at Ballys twice, coming in the semis once and would like to get back into some type of tournament action.

I used to travel from Cape Canaveral to Hollywood to play in that tournament. I achieved a good deal of sucess playing there until they canceled it. The boat is probably the worst in their fleet. So don't expect much. We had tournaments on the Cape Canaveral Sun Cruz until we got a new casino manager who buried his head in the sand and cancelled the tournaments because the same people were playing every week. Under his leadership their market share dropped to about 25% with the other &5% going to Sterling. Texas Hold'em is the only thing saving them. Be sure to catch the Hilton Million Dollar BJ Tournament this Wednesday at 8:00pm and 11:00pm on the Travel Channel and the World Series of BJ on Friday night on GSN. You'll see a lot of the faces that contribute to this site.
