I know this not tournament related, but I need feedback from anyone who plays/knows AC. I've got a comped trip coming up in a couple of weeks to the Trump Marina - Airfare, room, food - the works. Too good to turn down even if I've heard unfavorable comments about AC. Yes, us Florida boys will go anywhere for a free meal. Anyway, I don't have to play a hand - just won't get invited a second time if I don't give them sufficient action. So, I know there are 3 casino's in the general area. Any one of them better? And is there any shuttle to the ones on the boardwalk? What makes this kind of funny is that they got the mailing list to comp players from the Royal Oasis in the Bahamas! Either post or send me a private email. Thanks.
AC Info You can walk to the other two casinos in the area, namely Harrah's and Borgata, but the walking paths are not obvious. Ask for directions. There is a jitney service (kind of like minibus) that I think is $1.50 each way that will take you to the boardwalk area. I don't really play bj much any more, so I cannot really help a lot with game quality. I gather that some bj players find Borgata an attractive place to play.
Thanks Kelly Just the information I needed. I have heard that the Borgata is the only one offering 6 deck at lower limits. I'll probably see what kind of spread I can get away with since I don't plan on going back and their options are to shuffle up or flat bet. Should be interesting.
Ac Hey TW: Kelly's right about the jitney busses; they're plentiful so there's almost never a long wait. The standard AC game is: 8D s17 DAS DOA nS spA1. 6-deck games are available on the main floor of the Borgata and (recently) the Tropicana. Otherwise you'll find 6-deckers in the high-limit rooms of the other places, sometimes offering a $25 min. during slow periods (you may persuade them to lower a $50 table to $25 during off hours). I recently read that the best games are currently at the Borgata, Tropicana, Showboat & Taj Mahal; I used to play AC fairly regularly. I'll send you a PM soon with more specifics.
