I guess it was inevitable that I would lose a Golden Place tourney to the 'bots. Logged on today for one of the $25 freebies and found myself playing the first round against 4 autoplays. Pursued a Martingale strategy $25, $50, $100....and lost all 5 hands Next tourney saw one player autoplay 4 hands and then bet $500 on the 5th. Got what he deserved - BUSTED! Ah, the online el cheapo experience:laugh: . Makes me almost forget about the Safe Port Act.
Kirbyk it's happened to me too - you have to beat the bot - so at some point you need to go up to a more than min bet - like you - lost them all - even worse I think - is when it is you, one other player left - and a bot - and the other player is trailing - betting agressive - and you are correlating - and you both lose - I saw a big bankroll disappear in that situation - myself and the other live player lost four hands in a row - I was trying to fend him off - and the bot ended up winning -
A bot is a software player such as rumor has UBT using during first days, I dont know about now. The Golden Palace players are more than likely people at work signing in and going back to work. If you are against 2 or more of these ABSENT players you know you must have at least 980 or so. Not easy going against 8 decks that shuffles often. I think the wildcats are more of a problem. To get above 2000 is harder than 980. jmo.
Bots or zombies or absent players - whatever - the automated players - I do think some people just sign up and let the bots play for them - they are actually not a problem - except - under unusual circumstances - such as when you lose every hand - or you are trying to hold off an aggressive better who is only a little behind - and you both wind up losing - sometimes the choice is letting the other live player get the high on you - or risking dropping below the bot if you lose - always frustrating to get beaten by a machine when it happens -
