This weekend's Flying Aces Blackjack Tournament at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi has been cancelled due to the approach of Hurricane Ivan.

If you've signed up, you can handle cancellations by calling Casino Marketing at 1-800-964-7036.

    Ivan the Terrible

Prayers go out for you guys in the path of this monster. We lost half our home as a result of Frances and the winds were only 110mph. I rode that one out and I honest to God thought I was going die. Evacuate if you're in the path.
    Good Luck,

    A non-update

Here is an email I got from Beau Rivage:

    Mr. xxxx,

Thank you for your interest in the Beau Rivage. At this time the Flying
Aces tournament has not been rescheduled. I would advise checking back
periodically to see if it has. You can call 888-567-2328 and a Casino
Marketing Services agent will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you,

When I called, the host I spoke with was under the impression that they would just skip this one instead of rescheule it. If I hear differently, I'll let post an update.

    Flying Aces Grounded until 2005

    Bad news:

I just found out that they will not be rescheduling the Flying Aces
until 2005. Sorry for the inconvience.

Dang. I had an immovable schedule conflict for this tourny and was hoping that they would reschedule to a time I could fit it in. Thanks for the info.

Man O Man, nothing like being in a hurry to find ways to embarrass yourself. I just looked at my handle. If this village did not have an idiot previously, I'll take the job. :D Is there any way of editing your handle to correct spelling?

I have a friend on another board is has been known as sprots68 due to her spelling of sports. I guess I can live with mine.

BTW- Ken, if you are a big supporter of the University in your town, I know you will love seeing how well they teach us to spell in Oxford. :)
