Anyone playing in the BJ tournament coming up? I forgot the dates and it is not listed on their site. Does anyone know them?

    Beau tournament

Just check the events calendar. It is there. April 27-29

  3. I am not sure if the calendar is completely conclusive. I was down at the Beau Rivage during our spring break 4 weeks ago and they were holding a blackjack tournament (with a $150K prize pool) that I was told was invitiational. I was down there this past weekend and they were holding another one (Home Run or some other similar baseball theme with a prize pool of 100K). I don't remember seeing either of those being on our calendar.

After seeing that second well-paying tournament within a month at the Beau I wanted to ask our membership if anyone could shed some light on those tournaments. So, does anyone have the inside scoop on these tournaments.

Rebel, the BJ tournament scheduled for 27-29 April is still on. It is titled Aztec Adventure and is listed on the event calendar. This tournament is open and is relatively small compared to most Beau tournaments.

On April 12th, the casino held an invitational, and I think this was the Home Run tourney. Many of the Beau tourneys are unannounced and I think, held for high bettors. I play there maybe twice a month but am not one that would draw attention for my small bets nor qualfify for an invitation.

  5. Yeah Mike, that is about what I figured. I walked around several different rounds during those two tournaments I mentioned to see if I recognized anyone from here but everyone playing was strangers. There were a lot of people Saturday night playing with promotional chips. I don't know if they won them in the tournament or if they were just promotional chips that they got in their mailouts but I had at least 10 different people playing promotional chips on my tables. They all had pretty decent amounts too. ($500-$1,500)

I would love to play the Aztec but it is impossible for me to take a Monday off this close to our statewide standardized tests. Good Luck if you play it.
