I contacted Bet21 to figure out what is going on with the bonuses and this was their respose.

    Thank you for contacting us.

The information you are referring to has been taken off our website several days ago.

We are sorry but elimination black jack tables are not eligible for redeeming your bonus money.

Feel free to contact us for any further information.

    Best regards,

    Reputation means nothing to them.

Promises made, promises not kept. Everybody who signed up under the 100% bonus dollar promotion gets the shaft. Oh well.:joker: :joker: :joker:

Although the bonus not being converted by playing elimination blackjack is a minor bummer I personally would still be playing regardless of any bonus. I guess I'm to naive to understand why this is a big deal.

    My own perspective on this

I needlessly deposited the full $650 at UltimateBet. There's a minor financial loss in that, since there is a cost involved in converting my pounds into dollars and then back again, but that is a small thing.

I was a bit disappointed when I discovered that the bonus did not apply, but I could sort of see that the web site was full of out-of-date language that just assumed poker was the only game in town. It just seemed like an unfortunate misunderstanding, an oversight, nothing more.

Then I discover that the new kid on the block, Bet21, is offering the same deal but explicitly says blackjack qualifies for the bonus. I even get a reply on this forum exhorting me to sign up for that very reason.

I was on the point of doing that, when it became clear that Bet21 and UltimateBet were not quite the separate entities that I thought they were. So I waited a while and discovered that Bet21 was not in fact honouring this particular promise (nor is it obvious why one site should have a different policy to the other, since they seem to be the same organisation at heart).

So for the moment, I'm being a bit wary and sticking with my single UB account and free PlayUBT account.

    Bet21 Bonus

    FYI

I've asked some questions over at Bet21's marketing department & should hear back shortly. Its a pretty big discrepancy, so while I may not be able to fix this, at the very least I'll find out more detailed info, re: when/if bonus dollars can be converted to cash by playing blackjack. i think its fair to expect that bonus money picked up on a site predominantly geared towards blackjack & blackjack players would offer deposit bonuses to this end.

My initial assumption is, since UB has never offered blackjack bonus dollar conversion -- in fact i don't believe bonus dollars can even be converted for play in poker tournies/sit-n-gos as well (unless that's changed in the last few months) -- and because UB's elimination blackjack tournies were originally set up as a skin of Bet21, that may have contributed to the problem.

    More info coming --

    Thanks Dave

I've not put it to the test, but the UB web site has been promoting the fact that the buyins for Tourneys and S&Gos now earn UltimatePoints, whereas before I assume it was just the rake on ring games. (Although it may be that not all UltimatePoints can be used to convert bonus dollars. That point is a bit unclear.)

It was the lack of the word 'poker' in their promotional material for this new feature, and the fact that it was right next to all the ETBJ launch announcements, that made me just assume blackjack was covered too.

I played a little poker on there just for the hell of it.

From what I understand, the ultimate points you earn playing poker can be converted to bonus cash, but it's at like a 1 to 10 ratio. So 150 UP's = $1.50. At least that's the way I got it.

The points for poker are based on the entry fee's to the tourneys play, I believe, so if they ever do get it for elimination BJ, it should work about the same. That's a lot of games you need to play to get your bonus if they ever do it.

Again, I could be wrong, but that's how I read it all.
