In the only good news to come out in the last couple of days, Bet 21 has started paid satellites for the trip to St. Kitts. I've signed up for a $5 11:30 am satellite which awards a seat in a $200 satellite (2:30pm) for the trip to St. Kitts. It looks like the $200 satellites are scheduled for 2:30pm and 11:30pm (ET)

    Same?

Are they for the same one as the freeroll, or are they for their own seperate one?

I already qualified via freeroll, but I'd love to pay in a seperate paid one with a smaller field.

    Looks like they are different

Seems they may be awarding as many $6000 packages as they can get 30 people to play in the $200 entry satellites...up to two scheduled per day. First $200 satellite is at 2:30pm Eastern today.

    Great, but?"

These satellites are great, but I don't understand Bet21.com not advertising them? On a player driven business, how can they not advertise or at least notify their players via e-mail?

For those who found out in time for todays events good luck, for all others to bad.

    1st was a no go

First satellite was cancelled with only 4 players.

I just said 'f' it and paid to get into the super satellite, but as of right now, I'm the only entrant.

I think they're gonna have a hard time getting enough people.

    I just saw they canceled...

Back to my post, how can they expect to hold a tournament when the players don't know about it?

    Hello McFly, is anybody there....LOL

Field of Dreams was a movie, the build it and they will come will not work without advertising in real life!

With soon to be demise of on-line play, UB and UBT will also fail this should be good news for you and your BJ tour just be sure to advertise it in national magazines, local gambling magazines (example-Mid-south gaming), radio shows etc. don't just depend on the internet.

They claim the tourneys are guaranteed but if they do not get enough people to cover the entry fees they cancel the tourney nowhere when you sign up does it state a minimum number of players. Where is the guarantee? Somewhere in cyberspace it sure ain't in their tourneys.

    30

They need 30 players to start it. It states that on the registration page.

Ok you got me there but where is the guarantee, if you can cancel if you do not get enough entrys to cover the payout, then there is no guarantee.

    Hey Poker,

When you register for the tourney there is a minimum number of participants -otherwise it gets cancelled. It's right there in blue and white - no deception just fine print.

Send out Paul Reevere. Somebody win.

I understand it rewards a seat, but does it include anything else. It doesent say much.

I'll play, but it's a waste of time.

Quite frankly, it's really looking as if it won't matter if anyone wins the $5 satellite or not. The $200 + 15 seat that it awards will likely be cancelled because they won't get 30 players.

    Not really!

Not at all! The UBT Saturday TV show would have helped drum up new players interest in blackjack tournaments. Plus with me not playing in the TBT events I was looking forward to playing in several of the UBT events (at least in the US).

As far as advertising the TBT tournaments, it will be done through BJT.com, All In magazine, TBJPA.com (once the TBT tournaments are started), and hopefully the host casino's will help promote these events.

Depending on the expence we maybe able to advertise in Casino Player magazine as well. But I think the players word of month will help support the TBT as long as they are run fairly for the players.

    TX,

Ok, ok, we'll be there for the TBJT - we're just waiting for your announcement.

Now git on over to the St. Kitts qualifier - there's still time.
