Congratulations to BJfan4 for his $50000 win last night in Montreal (Monday October 23). It was the fifth of sixth stops of the Quebec Masters Series before the Grand finale in March 2007 ($150,000). With the 2000 points he gets for his win, he moves into the top 10 and has a good chance to win a free entry to that Grand finale ($2000).

Personally, I busted out in the crapshoot qualifications format (top 42 out 210 qualified for the semi-finals (one winner per table), then 6 players + a wild card make it to the finals. BJfan4 won his semies by $62, doubling up succesfully on the last hand, then, in the finals, as BR1 on the last hand, he covered the all-in by BR2 and got the cards while his opponent busted.

Fantastic job there. Is that 50,000 dollars or 50,000 loonies?

Bring home the bacon and go get em in the Finals

Actually I was asking for a chip count just before the last hand. The final table was on a big screen in front of a large audience (350 people) and the announcer obligingly gave me and the audience a precise chip count of all the players and the exact amount they had bet. I was last to act and covered the high and the low. How sweet it was.....:) :) :)
