Hey I got this from Amazon.com - recommendations.

The Blackjack Zone: Lessons in Winning at Blackjack and Life (Paperback)
    by Eliot Jacobson (Author)
    (1 customer review)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    List Price: $19.95

Has anyone read this and if so what do you think?

This also got me to wondering: Are there any other books concerning BJT on the market besides Sanford Wong and Kenny Eineinger?

Finally what are your favorite BJ books that you would recommend?

My personal blackjack library consists of the following

    Stanford Wong
    Professional Blackjack
    Casino Tournament Strategy

    Arnold Snyder
    Blackbelt in Blackjack

    Fred Renzey
    Blackjack Bluebook II

    Peter Griffin
    The Theory of Blackjack
    Extra Stuff, Gambling Ramblings

    Ed Thorp
    Beat The Dealer

    I think I'd particularly recommend -
    • Beat The Dealer, as a fascinating historical document.
    • The Theory of Blackjack, as the definitive guide to the underlying mathematics of card counting (and yet still somehow managing to be an entertaining read, even when it ventures into areas I don't really understand).
    • Blackbelt in Blackjack, as a practical guide to how to play/count in the casinos of today. *

[*] Not that I'm in any position to back up this view with practical experience of my own. The main thing I learned from this book was that attempting to play profitably in UK casinos, under the current rules, is pretty much futile. The 'Snyder Profit Index' is too low.

    Whats with Blackwood?

The first book I would recommend on Blackjack in generall is Kevin Blackwoods "Play Blackjack like the pros". It contains all you need to know for the beginning. (There is also a small part covering BJ Tournaments in Blackwoods book - I guess Ken Smith wrote it).

Wongs books are perfect, without any question.

    Sirklas :)
