Making plans on going to Canada to participate in the Blackjack Masters Tour - Casino du Lac-Leamy - Gatineau QC on 9/13/2006 and in the Casino Rama BJ Tournament - Casino Rama - Orillia ON on 9/15/2006. Was informed by Casino du Lac-Leamy that it is still okay to reserve a spot BUT Casino Rama is completely booked. Any BJT members planning on going to both or either tournament?
Casino Rama/Lac Leamy I also got a nasty surprise when I tried to book Casino Rama. They sold out within 10 days of announcing the tournament. I am booked for the Canadian Masters qualifier at Fallsview Niagara on Sept 07 but have not decided on Lac Leamy as yet. I played in that tournament(Leamy) earlier this year and it was a very well-run event. I will decide next week, and am leaning towards going. Lot's of tournament action within driving distance and all are "open" with no requirement for side action. Good player EV, which is rare these days.
BJFAN4 - Just reserved a spot for the Blackjack Masters Tour - Casino du Lac-Leamy - Gatineau QC on 9/13/2006 and for the Canadian Masters qualifier at Fallsview Niagara on October 19th. Could not make the Sept 7th at Fallsview Niagara (trying to sneak in the Stardust and Golden Nugget BJ tourneys that week in Las Vegas). I wish I could drive (but from Southern California, that’s 4 to 5 days worth of long driving). Have already made airline reservations. If you do decide to go to Casino du Lac-Leamy on Sept 13th – let’s met and share “blackjack stories”. I’ll be wearing an ESPN baseball hat.
