    Hi, I'm new here.

I would like to start having blackjack parties at my home. What should I know? What are some easy rules? Please answer any questions i didn't ask.

Hi, Monica, and welcome to the site!!!!!!!

Recently there was a thread about home blackjack parties here, I looked it up and here's a link to it. I'd think if you added your questions onto the end of that thread, you'd be more likely to get some useful responses to them.

    Hi Monica,

I have hosted a couple of house Blackjack Tournament parties and both went down really well. From those I was asked to organise a few more tourneys for pubs having mock casino events and peoples theme parties but declined.

The reason being that it was hard work for me, keeping track and explaining the rules to non BJ players.

Having said that that, party guests picked up the game quite quickly.

If you want to organise a BJ tournament party I would suggest that you use (which I did) Rick Jensen’s TBJPA rules which I am sure can still be found on this site.

Another tip is to let everyone have a go at being the dealer which generally causes chaos but is great fun and allows the organiser to stake stock about what is going on. a BJ tournament would be a pain if it was not to become a regular event.

So if you want a great party gambling game with no fuss or organisation, I will let you in on it.

For a few pounds you can buy a dice game called “Pass the Pigs”. A decision game, were you throw little pigs around and stand or hold just like BJ.

Hope your party goes well Monica.
