Blair Rodman wins the first $500 tournament tonite down here in Aruba, netting over $20k for his efforts. 2nd place goes to one of the other top tourney pros (and most likely the best female blackjack tourney player in the world) Adriana Jade. Other notables at the final table included Annie Duke and Anthony Curtis, but details as to exact placement or dollar amounts won will have to come from Joe since i only saw the last few tense hands. The field was around 85-90 players, with a surprising turnout of poker players and locals outnumbering the blackjack pros... so you could say 'skilled play' certainly won out at the end of the day here! Tomorrow morning the first final table (with Anthony Curtis & Ken Smith) will be filmed starting at -- ugh -- 7 am! Everyone down here is calling it an early night, but i suspect there will be a lot of celebrating being done tomorrow... -hd.
