Box score you dont see...

    I remember this happening several years back, because the pitcher of the losing team didn't receive credit for a no-hitter because he only pitched 8 innings since the home team was ahead in the ninth. In fact, I think it was 2-0.

    It was the 5th time in the history of the game a team won without a hit.

    I don't feel so bad now...

    I guess getting beat by a players all in last hand blackjack isn't so bad after hearing about losing a ball game in which you throw a no hitter...OUCH!

    I guess i am telling my age, but back in the 60s, I remember a pitcher throwing a no-hitter for 11 or 12 innings, and his team lost the game. My memory is not that great but I think his name was Robin Roberts.
