Interesting that Caesars decided to jump in the media and defend Rene Angelil against claims that he was losing a million a week: http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2007/Feb-02-Fri-2007/news/12354937.html
I think..... I think that loose mouth Jan Jones said that he was gambling 1 million per week. Rene Angelil is definitely a player and 10 hours of BJ at $1000 per hand per week would have him put in action the 1 million. Right? At a 1% loss he then loses $10,000 per week. Chump change for him.
There's nothing "interesting" about it. Losing, especially large, individual losses, is bad publicity for a casino. notice the immediate spin to his poker tournament winnings (while making no mention of entry fees, which would still make him a loser even if you foolishly believe their spin). You'll never see a commercial stating: Bob and Jane lost their children's college fund so Gary Loveman can get an extra few ducats in his multi-million dollar bonus check! -or- We're building these new towers thanks to your losses!
