Has anyone heard what affect the takeover of Caesars by Harrahs will have on comps, cashbacks and play ? Right now Caesars has much better video poker paytables and cashback at Harrahs are collected two months after they're earned. Blackjack at Caesars is better than at Harrahs with splitting As four times, standing on soft 17s, late surrender, and no burn cards with dealer changes.
By the way how much does splitting As four times change the house advantage?

    Caesar's/Harrah's

__ I dunno what effect the merger will have on cashback/comps. I expect Harrah's present policy will become the new norm.
__ I also expect Harrah's policies regarding return on VP and blackjack will prevail. This is not good for players.
__ Here's how the house advantage is affected:
    no resplitting aces + 0.03%
    hitting soft 17 +0.20%
    no late surrender +0.07%

    Merger

Just talked to my casino host at Caesar's LV. They are devastated. Looks like Harrah's policies will prevail. I'll be at Caesar's Indiana next week. It will be interesting to see what their take on the merger will be. Of course to the low end, gambling addicted, trailer park goobers any change would be oblivious anyway.
