I am playing in my first blackjack tournament. I won a seat for the finale on May 12th and hopefully will win a seat at Caesars Palace in Vegas. Does any one have suggestions to help me with the betting?

    READ.

Read everything you can find relating to tournament blackjack. This site is a great steppingstone, and there's links to other sites with more archived articles and advice. Got a bookstore close by? Try to find Wong's Casino Tournament Strategy, and also Einiger's book Play to Win. When you think you've read everything that you can find, go back and read it all again.

Get some GOOD poker chips and teach yourself how to count random stacks of them on sight. No pen and paper - all in your head. Put multiple stacks out there, count 'em all, then go back and try to recite the totals without a recount.

My very first live blackjack tournament table experience was on a UBT TV final table. And the above is what I did, religiously, for weeks. I didn't do too badly for a raw rookie. :D

    Congrats kdberg

Great win Sunday. So who were you in that crowd? I was there, may have seen me make a stupid play (pushed in one to many chips to cover a low by mistake and tied instead of winning a final hand), or were you the one who blackjacked on the final hand to beat me another time when I had first locked otherwise?

    :D

I need some information on the finals on May 12th. Can you check your private message and send me a note back.

    Thanks.
