21 hands of 21 Blackjack tournament. $200 entry fee..... $15k first place..... further details to come as I have time to stop and pick up the rules. This was advertised in the Arizona Republic this weekend. I am glad to see some of our local casinos are coming onboard with the tournaments. Good Luck to all..... Hope there is good participation.... Take care

    Mrospi -

Is the First Round an accumulation round? Or is it table winners plus the all the players with the highest total chips in the First Round arriving at the "40 winners" figure?

It looks like the 2nd and 3rd (final) Round are eliminations.

    Need clarification. Thanks.:)

1st round table winners and 2 wild card entries that are drawn from the non-table winners..... so more like a lottery for the last 2 spots based on the rules....

    F that place

Nice 250 mile drive to get told it had been full for weeks and I couldn't play. Wouldn't of bothered me so much if I hadn't called a couple hours before and been told just to show up before five to register. Ended up missing Global's thing because of it too.

They weren't even apologetic in the least either. That's the biggest problem with a lot of tribal casinos...awful customer service.

They're now barred from me playing there ever again! :joker:

Sorry to hear that, that is really BS..... i was unable to go due to my work schedule and other plans. Gila River runs a good tourney, but I would contact them ahead of time to make sure they don't sell out, because I know they have been pretty full in the past

    I played and

they have a lot to learn about how to run a tournament. Ace, you need to start preregistering for these tourneys. I registered over the phone with a credit card about 3 days ahead of time. I got knocked out in first round. I was br2 on the last hand with 9500. br1 had 18000 and had to bet first (he just got a 2 to 1 BJ on a 6000 bet on the previous hand.) br1 bet first and he bet 100! I went all in. I couldn't believe he only bet 100. All I had to do was win and he couldn't do anything about it. I got an ace on the first card and a 9 to go with it. Then the dealer turned over her Blackjack and I was done.

D.S., that's a heck of a time for the dealer to get a blackjack. That's painful to think about.
