Casino Niagara, in Niagara Falls, Canada, has announced its "Masters of Blackjack" tournament series. The qualifying rounds are July 19, September 24, November 19 and January 25. Entry is $125 Canadian or $95 US. The top three finishers, in each qualifier, are entered in the $150,000 CDN championship round. The championship round will be held on March 18, 2005. This past year the entry to the championship round was $1,000 CDN or $750 US. There was another qualifying round on May 19, but I did not know about this one. Apparently these tournaments alway sell-out so there was no urgency to contact prior players (I competed this past November, January and March). Nonetheless, it is a decent one day tournament for those proximate to this Canadian border town.
Fathermurph, Would you post any information about the format of the qualifying tournaments and the prizes. I see from your post that the top three advance on to the yearly big one but I would also think that there is a cash prize too. Thanks, Pill
Niagara The final round of the qualifying tournaments also include a first prize of $10k Canadian and other assorted smaller cash prize for all 7 finalists.
