I am sorry I am late on getting the rules posted. Below are the standard tournament rules for Cherokee along with each individual tournament format. I look foward to seeing everyone next week.

    Standard Blackjack Tournament Rules:
    · Standard Cherokee Casino and Resort Blackjack house rules apply with the exception to the following:
    · Late Surrender will be allowed for ½ of the participant’s original wager only.
    · Blackjacks will pay 3 to 2.
    · Dealer stands on all 17’s.
    · Insurance is offered for up to ½ of the original bet. If a participant wants to insure their wager, they must place the insurance bet on the insurance line.
    · If three cards or less are misdealt, the cards will be backed up to the correct positions. If four or more cards are misdealt the hand will be declared dead.
o If a misdeal occurs, the misdealt cards are discarded. The bets will remain the same, and the hand will be re-dealt.
    · Participants may double down on any two cards. Participants may split two like value cards up to 3 times to make 4 hands, including Aces in which a participant is dealt 1 card for each ace split.
o All double downs are dealt face down. If a double down is accidentally dealt face up, it is not burned and remains in play.
    · Participants must give the dealer a clear hand signal as to how they will act upon their hand. The standard signals are as follows:
o To receive a card, a player will tap or scratch on the table.
o To stand on the hand, a player will give a clear wave of the hand.
o If a player wishes to surrender on their first two cards, the surrender card will need to be placed next to their bet.
    · Initial seating will be determined by a random draw or a random computer selection. Players requiring special needs may be appointed a specific seat at the discretion of the tournament coordinator.
    · In the event that a participant does not report to their table prior to the tournament starting time, they will be blinded off with minimum bets for 5 hands. If they remain a no show after 5 hands, they will be eliminated.
o Cards will be dealt to the position and burned if player is not present. All Bets are automatically forfeited regardless of win or loss.
    · A marker (Dealer Button) will be used to mark the dealing and betting order. The marker will move in a clockwise rotation after each hand.
o To determine the starting position of the marker, the tournament captain will draw a card numbered 1 thru 6. The card drawn will determine which seat the marker start at.
    · Participants must bet in order, and in one motion. Once a bet is placed in the betting circle, it cannot be changed.
o Participants failing to place their bet within 30 seconds will be required to place the minimum bet.
o If a player has less than the minimum bet, they will be eliminated from tournament play.
    · No wagers will be broken down for verification prior to the hand being dealt. All wagers will be broke down after the hand is complete for reconciliation.
    · Each participants bankroll must have each chip denomination stacked separately and must be visible to other players at the table at all times.
    · If a tie occurs for either an advancing place or a cash placement a playoff will occur. Participants are dealt one card to determine where the maker will start. Each participant will receive $1,000 in tournament chips. Betting limits will remain the same as the tournament. The tied participants will play a number of hands that equal 2 times the number of participants tied at the table.
    · In the event that all six spots per table in the following round are not filled, wild card seats may be taken to advance to the next round.
o Wild card seats are determined by highest chip count from 3rd place finishers in previous round.
    · Non-value chips are used for tournament play. Tournament chips are the exclusive property of Cherokee Casino and may not be removed from the tournament area.
    · The number of entrants will determine the number of rounds in each tournament. A max of 6 players per table and a max of 12 tables per round will be used.
    · All participants must remain at their table during play. Once a player has been eliminated from the tournament, they must leave their seat immediately. They may still watch the table finish, but may not sit down at the table.
    · As a courtesy to other participants during tournament play, eliminated participants and spectators, including family members, should not crowd the table.
o Coaching other participants and team play is not allowed.
    · Refunds will be granted with a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to tournament start time.
    · By entering in the tournament, each participant authorizes Cherokee Casino the unconditional use of his/her name and likeness for the purpose of advertising and promotion without compensation, consideration, notice, review or consent where permitted.
    · Cherokee Casino’s have the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule any event. Notification of any event change will be made to customers.
    · Winners are responsible for any and all taxes, state and federal, that may be applicable.
    · Winners must show valid identification in accordance with CNE’s identification procedure in order to collect prizes over $599.
    · English is the only language allowed during tournament play.
    o Profanity is not allowed.
    · All decisions regarding the interpretation of rules, eligibility etc. lies solely with Cherokee Casino’s management team. The floor personnel are to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision making process. Unusual circumstances can dictate that the technical interpretation of the rules be balanced against the interest of fairness. Any customer disputes shall be subject to the dispute resolution provisions in accordance with the Compact between the Cherokee Nation and the State of Oklahoma, and the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission regulations.
