  2. Sad

Am I correct in hearing the Tropicana will be closed towards the end of March and I hear the Stardust is getting more of an idea when it will close too. Also, how many does Harrah's own now in Vegas, anyone know?

    Stardust

Last I heard about the Stardust was it would be closing December 2006.

Tropicana closing? I haven't heard anything but rumors. I heard one side at a time would be replaced and the casino would still be running was the latest one floating around.

  4. Can't Confirm

Did find past archive on Stardust:

I know I read somewhere about the Tropicana, looking for the article. I may be wrong.

    Stardust & Harrah's

    Capt.BlackJack:

Stardust will close shortly after Super Bowl 2007. Guess they want to catch the New Year and Super Bowl parties.

As for Harrah's, their Las Vegas holdings include:
    Harrah's
    Imperial Palace
O'Shea's (Not sure of spelling. I think they own this one but I could be wrong)
    Flamingo
    Bally's
    Paris
    Caesars Palace
Horseshoe - not sure of their tie in but they own the name and the WSOP
Rio (I added this as an edit 2/13/06 at 10:02 pm central)

    Don't forget

    Rio, home of the WSOP!

  7. Bally's

When I play at Bally's in Vegas, I always use my Grand Casino players card from Tunica. The last visit to Bally's they made me get a new card saying they were switching to the Harrahs Total Rewards Program, very confusing trying to get all these different players cards combined to one. My question, is each Casino treated as it's own when pertaining to the tax form at the end of the year or can they combine all properties into one account? (I hope not). I have no knowledge on this and any info appreciated. Thanks.

    Harrah's Tax

Don't know how Harrah's will handle taxes but I'm guessing it will all come under the Harrah's name rather than the individual casino. Have you asked Harrah's about this - not that they would have a correct answer at this time.

The important thing is to make sure you get your "Tier Points" properly transferred to your Harrah's card. You'll probably get several Harrah's cards. Make sure you only use one of them (do not use several cards) when you play at any Harrah's properties. Use one issued by a LV casino for you best chance of getting invites to LV. You can check your "Tier Points" at harrahs.com

  9. Thank you!

Will talk to Harrahs in the future and find out. Appreciate the info.

  10. For purposes of accuracy, the Bourbon Street event was approximately 2:00AM on February 14th, not the 13th.

Please note the date of the original post in this thread and one can see that tonight was was tomorrow two days ago which was yesterday.

    Gotta

That is how I got the info, that will teach me to copy from someone else...LOL

  12. An easily enough done mistake or perhaps even simply a personal perspective. You posted on the 13th at 7:55PM stating that on the 13th, the implosion will (future tense) occur at 2;00AM tonight. Which would make the date the 14th.

Now if only I could see the mistakes that I make in my tournament play so easily.......
