ClubUBT prize pool now ridiculously low

The monthly blackjack prize pool just became ridiculously low in January 2009.

I just don't want to count it as I suspect it went below 10,000.

The "biggest" BJ tournament was reduced from $1000 to $500.

    Not A Bit Surprised

The blackjack game on ClubUBT has offered progressively smaller prize pools since the Club first opened in 2007. They must be basing the prize pool distribution between blackjack and poker on how much action they get on each game.

The blackjack game on ClubUBT just isn't any fun. You have to sit there and wait to play often for more than half an hour during tournaments. People don't want to sit there and wait; they want to play.

Global Player had this same problem.

If someone could come up with an online format for blackjack tournaments in which players don't have to sit there and wait to play during the tournament, it would be more successful.

    Blackjack21.com

Got a call Friday Jan. 2 to take part in Blackjack 21 10pm eastern tournament. Another Monday Jan. 5. But forgot and cannot track down previous discussion about site. Seems I remember it wasn't favorable.

Given murky on line conditions, too chicken to even respond.

Anyone bite? Anyone remember? Anyone? Anyone?

Like you, I got a call from them last year that they were entering me in an end of month tournament. I played and took 3rd or 4th place. Over the next 3 weeks I accumulated about $1500. I made one phone call to make a withdrawal of $1000 and received a check 3 weeks later. They charged $50 to make the withdrawal, but sent a cashiers check via priority mail, so it cost them about that. The past discussion on this board was mostly negative, but I had no problems with them and still play a little.:):)

I've played on ClubUBT since 2007. I was fortunate enough to play at Sunset Station when I won their online tournament in December. But I also saw how the prizes shrunk dramatically with blackjack.

Is there other sites to play blackjack online? Thanks.
