It took plenty of luck to make the finals, but the final table of six unfolded in a way that made it a pretty easy win. I had two players late in the round who could have been a threat, but they surprisingly both chose a $500 bet on the hard six as a way to catch up. I was unwilling to give up my lead over second place and hedge that bet. Two rolls later, a seven rolled, and I had more typical concerns after that. I actually had the rare luxury of being able to relax before the final roll of the dice. When the stickman called 'No more bets' I knew I had won it before the dice were ever in the air, despite a winning margin of a mere $10. That never happens in blackjack!
