Nice work Swog and Hollywood! Both these guys picked up a seat in the Big Dance next May at the Hilton's MDBJ3 finals.
The magic of the Wildcard Man did i get lucky this weekend. After making a huge blunder on the 30th hand of the initial round (missing an incredibly necessary double down), i cost myself the lead & had to rely on the wild card drawing the next day. After making it back in, i advanced to the semis & then once again on the final hand i made another blunder (this time not as basic a play -- i confused my 'push is as bad as a loss' strategy with the rule to stand on almost all stiffs when you need to win both hands of a split). In any case, i missed the final table but will take the entry into the Finals this May! oh and of course they sat Johnny Chang at my initial table... but fortuneately he went out early due to some bad cards. That makes two tournaments with him, and he's yet to beat me! Maybe these MIT kids aren't such geniuses after all... -holly d.
