Congratulations

This weekend was the first time I've ever met Leftnut and it was very impressive as he took home the Winstar first place of $50,000 and qualified to one of only 28 players for their August $2,000,000 championship event.

Congratulation to Leftnut along with "The Farmers" wife who pulled down second place and $15,000 and Dennis Dueck from Tulsa that also made the final table.

All and all a very nice showing for BJT.com members. Congratulations to all of them.

Just missing the final table were the following members who still picked up $500 each in the semifinals:

"They're In The Money"

How exciting it was to watch the taping of the final table action at Winstar and to have Leftnut and Helen Shipp (Farmer's Wife and loyal member of the Ark-La-Tex Eliminators) bring home the big money....and they get to come back to compete for the million.

Glad to get to meet for the first time Leftnut, Monkeysystem, c21Rick, and other BJT.com members whose handles we can't remember. Enjoyed dinner with Springbac and Ptaylorcpa, as well.

This show is supposed to be aired on June 16 th (I think) on abc.....for those who heard the crew's announcement on the airing, please correct this date if I'm wrong.

"The Man"...

Blackjack Friends:

What a great trip to Oklahoma! Still here in Tulsa visiting with my good friend and one of our own, Bob Horinek. Had a great Burger for lunch at "Burger in Paradise" and then an awesome Catfish Dinner at a place called "The Lazy Fisherman". These Okies know how to eat...

All of this after a "Great Tournament" at Windstar!! Met my good friend LeftNut for the first time, even though we have been "Internet and Telephone Buddies for quite awhile. What a class act this guy is...

My congrats to him for his big win yesterday!! In the semi-final match, him getting a $750 (2to1) BJ on the last hand to eliminate the always dangerous John Ressman, was something I won't soon forget! Well done my friend. You gotta admit that the infamous "Dreamer" was talking to the cards for you, and working them all the way to your victory throughout the Final match.

Yours truely will have to give it another try in June, as I got knocked out on the last hand of the very first round...

Good seeing Hollyweed Dave and harassing him a little, as he was somewhat subdued from the Hollyweed who I'm used to hearing from! Hope to see him next month and take him down in one of the rounds as we again do some Blackjack battle on the same table. The producers were hoping for that matchup this time around, and are looking forward to the two of us on the same table next month, perhaps during the first round. We'll just have to wait and see if Hollyweed wants any part of me next month.

I highly recommend this Tournament to any of you who are able to participate. Looking forward to seeing many of the same faces, along with some new ones, next month...

Congratulations leftnut on a great victory. We've never formally met but I feel like I know you from the many great posts at this site. It looks as if your expertise and knowledge have garnered one of he big prizes.

Message from Leftnut

For those who don't know me I am leftnuts other half or some would say better half. LOL He wanted me to put up a thank you for all the kind words, and that he is still at the Casino and can't read this till he gets home on Tuesday. He did want me to tell everyone he's still in shock, and amazement at the whole thing.

Although I'm a very _new_ BJT.com member, I'm really hoping to get "into" this big-time. I met Springbac on the tables the day after... I got booted on the first round this time, but made it _nearly_ to round 5 in March... I missed April as I didn't catch the change in start time and showed up too late for registration (again boo hoo woe is me, and I'll shuddup about it ).

Anyway, I've enjoyed reading Ken's book and trying to hone in on my tourney skills with it and other posts from the big playas. It's got me looking at tourneys in Shreveport/Bossier and of course Nevada now...but living about 30-45 minutes from Winstar in Denton, TX, this has been something that has just "fallen" into my lap. I was two seats down from a Hotseat winner today and she wasn't going to even consider playing in the tournament, so I bought her entry Chip for $350 so I got the discount ticket and will be there next month...maybe I'll have better luck and can make at least the 5th round and with a little luck, and a lot more strategy-study, the final table and all that entails.

You have taken a lot of verbal abuse because you stood up for what you believed. You proved yourself with Play UBT and your TV appearance at a final UBT table. And now this!!! WOW!

What a game I did not get to watch you until the end of the simi finals and at the final table. Boy after that I am glad we were not on the same table or I might not of made it to the simi finals myself - lol. :laugh: Your play was great and what luck how many blackjacks did you have at the final table 4 or 5.
