    I nearly killed Becks

    Manchester United players Gary and Philip Neville used to live a few doors down in the same road as me. David Beckham was their big mate and used to visit them a lot.

    Driving home one day I had to break hard to avoid running over young David.

    Suffice to say as a rival Bolton Wanderers fan I have never been forgiven for not carrying out the deadly deed…lol
