These are nice like tournaments, not my favorite formats, but they don't cost much and the casino is only 1 1/2 away. The first tournament is the "Tax Aid II" it is their normal (every two month event). They use the WSOB format (knockout cards and power chips). The entry is $60 with re-buys at $45. They play every Thursday and Saturdays. They play a single table with 6 players, only the winner advances to the finals. Qualifying times are: 3:00 pm 4:00 5:00 6:00 7:00 8:00 Finals 9:00 Nightly Payouts: $875 1st = $500 2nd = $250 3rd = $125 Top two from finals advance to the main finals on April 14, 2007. Main Finals: Prizes = $30,000 1st = $15,000 2nd = $7,500 3rd = $4,000 4th = $2,000 5th = $1,000 6th = $500 Their second tournament is the "March Madness" Play-off March 18th. This is a daily qualifying tournament, but only run for one week. Entry = $25 Daily prizes = 1st = 50%, 2nd = 30%, 3rd = 20% of all entries. *Note: If you leave before the end of the daily events, winners will be notified and given three days to pick up their winnings. The format is high score after 16 hands. Now this is a non-stop event. Players may sign-up at anytime (there is an opening at the table). The tournament will be dealt on one table only and each player gets 16 count chips when they start that will be used to count down their 16 hands. So it doesn't matter if someone is already playing, you can just jump in and start your 16 hands anytime (the hands must be played in succession). Example: you bust out on hand 12, just pay another $25 start over again on hand #1, even if the others players are on their hand #13. It may get a little confusing, but kind of a neat idea. No standing around anyway, (that is if there is openings). Top 65 scores for the week advance to the finals. Main Finals: 1st = 2 tickets to the Final Four games in Atlanta Georgia 3/30-4/3. Plus air, hotel, and $500 cash. 2nd = $2,000 3rd = $1,000 4th = $1,000 5th - 8th = $250
