I heard a rumor tonight that the Palms will be hosting a UBT tournament for their high rollers this next weekend (Feb. 23rd-25th). It was mentioned to me that it is a "VIP" event, so by invitation only to play. I was just surprized nothing has been mentioned about it before now. Maybe I was misinformed, does anybody know for sure?
I saw the invite for this. It's a $200K prize pool event, using the UBT elimination format. However, it is strictly a Palms event, and UBT isn't involved. As a charter member of UBT, Palms apparently has the right to use the format without UBT involvement or licensing.
