These three bjt.com members I recognize from first VP game at blackjack21.com final table. What did the winner get and so on?

    Not sure?

Barney I am not sure what the winners received last night. I had Internet problems after the finals and just got the problem fixed about 5 minutes ago.

With about 3 hands left in the finals a POP-UP came on the screen (while I was trying to bet) that I was told said "Winner take all - $300". I am not sure since I didn't get to read it.

What up-set me was at the time I was the table leader and the bet I made to try and keep the lead didn't go through and only $100 (min. bet) was placed because I could click the bet button with the pop-up on the screen.

Now I have no problem with a winner take all as long as the players are told prior to the start of the tournament, but with 3 hand remaining is not a good time to inform the players about it. After all it changes the way you should play, plus don't inform them by posting a pop-up during the round when players are trying to figure out their bets. Any pop-ups during a round should at least come up before a hand starts.

Also the format needs to be changed where if a pop-up is sent it won’t affect the players from making either their bets or plays, this was not a good situation.

Now as far as their format I am not a big fan of high betting limits. I don't allow high or unlimited bets in any of my events, it just takes away from tournament strategy in my opinion. If I get out played and get beat fine, but I HATE it when you out play someone and lose on a last hand all in blackjack because of high or no limits.

You may have noticed that blackjack21.com did listen to some of my suggestions and put up the TXT game, only 6 players, and $10 to $200 betting limits, starting out with only $500 vs. their normal 8 player, $50/$100 min. to $1,000, starting with $2,000 format. I didn't ask for the game they surprised me by putting it up after talking to me.

Now if you feel the same way I do and don’t like the 8 players per table and high beating limits tell them, so far they seem to be listening to what the players want.

Last I understand where BJFAN is coming from about the 10% commission blackjack21.com charges (it is higher then over at Global-Player), but tournament blackjack is all they offer so they don’t make income off of regular tables or machines so I can understand the higher commissions (I still wish they would lower them myself).

Between Global-Player and blackjack21.com it looks like we can get at least 3 tournaments hosted per week now, which is a good thing.

Remember this if there is a problem or just something you don’t like about either sites format contact them or post it here, don’t be shy about it, they can’t fix it if they don’t know about it.

    tex

It would be nice to go 200 for fist and 100 for second to spread the love. But, 300 is a nice prize for mostly free game play.

BTW, I emailed them early this am. Said they need to establish a registration for the txt game ( and/or others) and the prize structure was to tight on the high side. No one wants to play with 3 players and lose 4 bucks for second place. Registration expanded beyond the countdown would fill tables and expand the prize pool. I think this would draw in new players. Maybe a Tex Special Saturday or Sunday game early enough for Reach to play, but just lat enough he has had his pint filled a few times please!

You make a valid point about the betting limits. Its is fine to have high max side if thats what you want to play, but we know that opens the door a little wider to luck. They can offer many different games. I spoke with them via phone a few days ago and they are open to new ideas.

As far as the 10% fee they have no revenue chain like players going after the extra comp points at Globa. I think their margins are tight even at 10%.
