Somehow I managed to take first overall for the sit & gos at global player this week, I am quite happy as this is more or less my first "big" blackjack win. I also gotta thank JoeP for a little advice he gave me, you're the man, Joe!

I know a few people have been asking for this sort of thing (me included) and it's great that they listen to their customers. Excellent. It might be a good idea to make a link to the table more prominent and to put a list of the current top 3 or 5 or 10 on the lobby page so we can see as soon as we log in. May generate a bit more interest and excitement. I must admit I only just came across the league table last night and it makes for interesting reading. They should add a couple of extra columns for average points per game and average win. I also guess it's retrospective so you can 't see the table in "real time" as it were so you have no idea where you are until after the fact. It's definitely going to affect my play at Global as I fancy going for No.1 so I'll have to start playing at a higher rate. Watch out Scorcho (and Mighty Mike for that matter), here I come!!! thanks for the breakdown reachy, I was worried at first when I saw I was tied, I didn't realized they used games played as a tie-breaker. The last two days were a total war between me, Mighty and tgun, some of the most grueling blackjack of my life, I had to win four games in a row yesterday to pull into first.
Weekly Tables Without taking any credit away from Scorcho’s win. I have said it on here before that the weekly tables on Global are totally meaningless. I finished 4th the previous week after playing 10 games against the winners 33 games played (Again not taking any credit away). Txtourplayer has addressed this issue on another thread and has given the facts and figures relating to amount of games entered and player ability. However, I do use the tables as a reference to see who has been playing and how they are doing, and it is nice to be at the top. Andy
Meaningless Maybe you are right Scorcho. But when I enter it's to win at the table. Anything else such as money received from the weekly best is an additional bonus. Andy
Same here, I was shooting for making money (which I did) and that extra $100 was a nice bonus that I put in my pocket.
Not meaningless, just need more data and more playas... When people start to take more of an interest in the tables (come on Global, promote them!!!) they will become more relevant. More volume required. They will give people information that will help them analyse their play relative to others. As it stands the table is incomplete to my mind hence my post that calculates pts/game. This is the figure that will tell you where you fit in the scheme of things. I can't remember the figures exactly but by coming 1st Scorcho increased his winnings by about 20-25% for the week. Defintely worth shooting for I think you'd agree! And if the tables create a bit of healthy competion all the better! Push the tables I say! Make them prominent! I want to know as soon as I log on who's in the top 5. Cheers Reachy
