As of today Saturday Oct 11, the Fitz only has 28 entries in their Oct 24 Invitational. They want at least 80 or will cancel it. If you have any play there at all, you can probably get in if you call them.
Apparently not I called and asked, but was denied. It's been a while since I've played there, but it should have been enough to warrant an invitation, I would think. The host I talked to didn't seem too concerned about a low turnout.
So, how did this event play out? Did they get enough entries to hold the tournament? Did they reduce the prize pool?
Good tournament They ended up with about 130 and paid the full prizes. A lot of the entries were slot players who had never played before. Quite a few BJTers were there. John (I don't know his last name from Texas travels with Harry Fox) made the final table, but I didn't stay to see how he did. Next tournament in March being an open $300 buy in should be good too.
