I haven't seen this invite, so this information is second-hand, but... Fitzgerald's in Vegas is having a blackjack tournament in early November, with a $149 entry fee. It includes three room nights, and a chance to win part of $6000 in prizes, or so I hear. With the prizes being based on 100 entries, it sounds like they're planning on taking in $14,900 and paying out only $6000. Er, thanks, but no thanks.
Fitzgeralds I called up to find out what was going on for their tournament, but no one knew that much about it. I'll call back later and talk to Theo to find out what is going on. What I did find out was the entry is $149 and a 2nd person can enter at $99. Tournament is Nov. 7-9 (Sun.-Tues.) dealing starts 6:00 PM on the 8th. I'll get back with ya'll on what the prize money is and the rules to see if it is worth playing or not.
