not as bad as it seems

With 2 1st rounds and 2 rebuys, you get 4 chances to advance to the semi-finals so the one advance is not that bad.

    One advance format

One advance format refers to the number of players advancing to the next round in an elimination tournament. Usually it is one or two advances from each table, but it can be more.

For an explanation of the types of tournaments (elimination or accumulation) check out Ken's other site www.blackjackinfo.com and click on the link blackjack tournaments. He gives a pretty concise explanation.
