I just posted the details for the Fitzgerald's Haunted Halloween blackjack tournament on October 29th in Vegas.

With an entry fee of $149, and a $5000 prize pool based on 90 players, this is one of the worst deals I've ever seen. 90 X $149 = $13410.

    My three cents!

Great post Kenneth! This is what this site is all about. Informing players. Better to play the lottery than play that tournament! :joker: :joker: :joker:

    Sweating the small change...

For those of y'all that remember a few years back when I held my "Super-Mini" tournaments at the Fitzgeralds they were willing to host the tournaments, but they charged the players lots of money for us to hold them there.

As far as their $5,000 tournaments, this is their normal format for blackjack, dice, and other tournaments. The offers I receive offer me free entry and rooms at least included for two nights but Ken is right, they do SUCK for what they are paying out!

I guess the Fitz is worry more about what they can get up front then what they could make off the table action for just getting the players in their casino.

    fitz sucks?

well at least they have {last time i checked in} $5 bj tables ( 8 deck shoe? )
and hand held ( 2 decks maybe $10 min ) . no telling how many bj tables
they might open to allow "practice" ( so you can size up possible competitors )
also with negative opinion on some forum might just turn out to be a SOFT field, i just might go ( have played their tournies before ) spend $50 for room and $99 for prize pool { or vice versa! } might be my expectation there will be better than pechanga million
