    Still getting locations

At the present time GSN is still working on getting different casinos where they will be holding their satellite events.

This is their World Blackjack Tour they have been working on for the past couple of years. I have heard they have several casinos already signed up including several indain casinos, so players will have chances all around the country, not just the normal locations such as NV and MS.

    no luck either

No luck either getting information via the "Advisor" or GSN. Seems there ought to be a list of participating casinos somewhere. When is the 1Mil final anyway and where?
    Probably see you tonight Mauiboy.

    Lucky Eagle Casino

This is my disappointment remarks with the Lucky Eagle Casino. Below is a quote from the Oct. Western Gambling Journal on the Lucky Eagle Casino.

    Qualifying Tournaments ($85 entry fee)
October 2nd, 2005 ($5,000 in prizes, 6 winners advance to final)
November 13th, 2005 ($5,000 in prizes, 6 winners advance to final)
December 4th, 2005 ($5,000 in prizes, 6 winners advance to final)
January 8th, 2006 ($5,000 in prizes, 6 winners advance to final)

    FINAL TOURNAMENT - January 14th, 2005
($5,000 in prizes, Winner advance to World Series of Blackjack)
“Fame and fortune will be on the line when the winners from each tournament square off in a final tournament on Jan. 14th.”

Reading the above advertisement in the Oct. Western Gambling Journal implies that there will be twenty-four (24) finalists on Jan. 14th. This is not true. Lucky Eagle plans to add another sixty (60) players from their ‘Players Club’. These sixty players will be invited to play in the Jan. 14th tournament. This isn’t fair to players who play the qualifying tournaments and move on to the final. We weren’t told of this until we played the Oct. 2nd tournament. Lucky Eagle should have been up-front in their advertising. Since they are tribal they can conduct business beyond regulatory controls. I wish GSN had some control over the casinos supporting these blackjack tournaments. GSN name is on the line.

Several of us players noticed on the semi-final round of player’s collusion. A tournament player had a five hundred-dollar bet with two face cards. She was about to split the face cards with another five hundred-dollar bet. She looked up at her husband (I’m guessing), he shook his head, no. She didn’t split her face card. If she had split the face cards, she would have lost. Unfortunately, she won the table. This was just one of the times she received coaching from the gallery. The gallery was just inches away from the table players. Lucky Eagle personal did not control the gallery watching the tournament. They should have controlled the gallery. We complained and were over ruled.

Good luck and players be aware.

I've added the final event to the calendar (Dec 11-17, 2006), but I don't have dates for the quarterly events. If anyone has definite details on the quarterly schedule, please either post here or add the events to the calendar.

    Cherokee Casino & Resort

The Cherokee Casino and Resort in Tulsa,OK is going to be hosting qualifying tournaments for the WSOB. They will host two different weekly qualifying tournaments. There will be a total of 24 qualifiers completed, and a final tournament would host all of the winners. The buy-ins are as follows: Friday night @ 7pm is $60.00 and Sunday @ 2pm is $50.00. There is a prize pool of $500 for each tournament. These tournaments will start on November 4, and last 12 weeks. They are in the process of advertising now. My friend just called me and told me about these tournaments. There are also two other casino sites for the Cherokee's that will host the qualifying tournaments. One is in West Silaom Springs, OK and the other is Roland, Ok. I do not have any specifics regarding those casinos.
