I recently played in a Wendsday Tournament at Global Player, and I lost in the first round however they would not let me rebuy. I took a look at the leaderboards and I still i couldnt figure out how they structure each round (for example how many rebuys are allowed in the first round, how many rounds of tournament play, player per table, how many wild cards, etc). It seems like the rules are not very clear. Can someone explain? thanks
I don't know what happened to you but when you close the table window a box should pop-up and say "would you like to re-buy" I think you can re-buy as many games as you want in first round but there is a time limit for when the next round starts. There is usually 2 rounds and then a semi-final round. The wild cards depend on number of players and available seats in semi-final usually 2 or 3. Hope this helps. RD
Re Buy Problem I believe I could help you with your question .At Global weekly Wednesday tournaments you are allowed unlimited re buys up until the second round is about to start. So to assure yourself of at least 1 re buy and maybe 2 you need to be signed up and ready to play when the tournament first kicks off . If you enter the tournament close to an hour after it starts which you are allowed to do you will be playing your first round with players who are playing their re-buy rounds .I believe this is what happen to you ,your first round was played near the end or round 1 and the re buy rounds. Which prevented you from having a re-buy. In the future you can enter the chat room and inquire as to your ability to have a re-buy is so needed before you play your first round .The staff at Global Player is extremely helpful to all the players .Hope this helps with your question .Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have in regards to tournaments and their inner most workings . Thank You Thank you Mr. Hollywood for the warm welcome .Entering here as a new member I have my guard up so to speak, that is until I get to know everyone here on this site. I asked Joep if he knew you and he told me he has never heard of you. He must be mistaken as I see that you are a senior member here, you seem very nice and most respectful to all other members here when you refer to them in some of your previous post .I haven't had the chance to read them all but it seems safe to assume that you always treat others with the same graciousness that you have bestowed on me . Again thank you and I hope to hear from you again . Joep2
